We outsource to Barnes & Noble. They offer an option for our students
to pay online for their books and then just stop by the bookstore and
pick them up. This seems to work well for us. We also offer a "book
advance" on an anticipated refund on student accounts rather than
actually charge the books there. This seems to work well for us.

Geneva used to let students charge textbooks to their accounts years
ago. We have not for eight or nine years because collecting was a mess.

Does your school permit charging textbooks to student accounts? What
pros and cons have you seen?
