Our Campus Center (auxiliary services) deposits those items and they are
responsible for collection. The "college" does not get involved.

Subject: bursar-l: handling checks from student organizations

Dear List,
I would like to hear how other schools handle bounced checks received by
student organizations. Checks received by organizations are deposited
by the Business Office. If a student bounces a check it is generally
resolved by them with no issue. We have a student who bounced a check
and refuses to make good on it. The organization has asked the Business
Office for help. What can be done? We don't post these checks through
student accounts. How is this handled by your campus?
