Subject: bursar-l: Tuition Rates

Looking for feedback on how you bill tuition.

My VP is interested in knowing if schools charge varying rates based on the
course subject or department. For example, do you charge a different rate
for a Math course as compared to an English course? We do not change the
rate based on the course

Or, do you charge the same tuition rate for all undergraduate students. Our
regular undergraduate students are charged the same rate, regardless of
program. We do have a few cohort groups of undergraduate students in
specific programs that are charged a reduced rate.

Does anyone charge a varying rate based on the student's major? Our
graduate program rates vary based on program. The only variation at the
undergraduate level is the above mentioned cohort group.

Do you charge per credit hour or plateau? Our full-time undergraduate
students between 12-17 credit hours are charged a flat rate. Part-time
undergraduates, cohorts, and graduate students are charged per credit hour.

Thanks in advance for your reply.
