bursar-l: Babson College Seeks Student Financial Services Technology Specialist

Babson College in Massachusetts seeks a Technology Specialist to plan
and manage the information technology systems, databases, and interfaces
necessary to deliver the College's Student Financial Services (SFS).
Responsibilities include identifying and implementing new technologies
and business processes to improve service delivery.

More specifically, the Technology Specialist will manage the student
billing (SunGard PowerCampus) and financial aid (CSS PowerFAIDS) systems
and their interfaces. The Specialist is also responsible for developing
system rules, algorithms, and data extracts; analyzing business problems
and designing, developing, and documenting system and process
enhancements; managing SFS data for local and larger enterprise
functions; serving as liaison to I/T services on technology concerns
including data use, data integrity, and data security; and planning and
managing system conversions and upgrades.

We are looking for a candidate who has a bachelor's degree with a
minimum of 3 years of experience in data management. The successful
candidate will have the ability to manage complex systems and processes,
be proficient in Microsoft Access, and possess strong analytical,
communication, and teamwork skills. Knowledge of SunGard PowerCampus
and CSS PowerFAIDS systems is a plus, as is knowledge of accounting
practices and business process improvement techniques.
