Here is the statement we have students acknowledge each semester before they
register on the web.

> I acknowledge that registration for courses at SIUE obligates me to

> pay tuition, fees and related expenses. I accept full financial

> responsibility for each registered course. If I do not make required

> payment in accordance with the schedule published at

> http://www.siue.edu/BURSAR/DeadLine.html and my account becomes past

> due, I agree to pay service charges equivalent to 1.5% per month on

> the outstanding amount due. I further understand and agree that my

> account may be referred to a collection agency if I fail to make

> timely payment, and I shall pay all reasonable collection costs

> associated with such referral, including but not limited to attorney

> fees and court costs. I understand and agree that my financial

> obligation to SIUE constitutes an educational loan to assist in

> financing my education and, therefore, is not dischargeable under the

> United States Bankruptcy Court.

>

> If you agree to these terms of usage, Continue. If you do not, please
exit.

Life is a series of comebacks in which we continually try to manage eternal
variables. Keep it simple: Just set a goal of trying to leave everything
better than you found it; you'll become a better person and the world will
become a better place. ~Franklin Delano Murphy
