Dear All,
While we're on this timely subject, I'd like to add a couple more
things to the inquiry.
At UCI, we allow students to pre-enroll and set the registration fee
payment due date before the start of classes, usually on a Friday,
after which they get a late fee payment penalty. We give students
until the end of business the following Monday to pay fees before we
drop their class enrollments. After that, they must have fees paid
in order to attempt re-enrollment.
We want to set our deadlines at a time when they will do the most
good, to get students to pay on time (like all other schools, for
sure.) I'm interested in knowing if you drop classes immediately
for non-payment, or allow students to retain enrollment and begin
attending if they haven't paid by the deadline. For those who allow
them to attend class, how do you enforce the process and get them to
pay? This is also a question for those schools with fee payment
deadlines set after the start of classes. How do you get them to pay?
