Carol,

Barnard College allows students the first 2 weeks of the semester to
change their schedules without penalty or fee. They must then file
their program with Registrar. If they're late, they must petition the
Committee on Programs & Academic Standing to have it accepted. If
their petition is granted, late fees range from $25 on the first day
after the deadline up to $250 later in the semester.

If students wish to add a new course or substitute one course for
another after filing their program, late fees range from $25 up to $150
depending on timing.

In both cases, fees are charged as of the day the program or petition is
submitted.

Bursar is not involved in this process until payment is due. The fee is
added to the student's account by an authorized Registrar staff member,
& a bill is sent by Bursar if an outstanding balance exists when we do
our monthly billing.
