bursar-l: NACUBO's SFS Conference March 4 - 6

From: Gross, Anne <AGross@nacubo.org>
Date: Wed Jan 17 2007 - 17:38:02 EST

I hope that you will make plans to join many Bursar-L colleagues at
NACUBO's Student Financial Services Conference this year. Putting faces
to names is one of my favorite things about the conference each year, so
please come introduce yourself if I don't see you first.

When: Sunday, March 4 - Tuesday, March 6
Where: San Diego
More information: www.nacubo.org/x8213.xml

The planning committee* has outdone themselves in putting together the
program. We have four general session speakers with varied higher
education experiences including:

* a now-professional (and entertaining) leadership trainer who
spent years as an administrator,
* a college president (and former CFO) on ethical challenges,
* NACUBO's new president on high-level policy issues facing higher
education, and
* a psychology professor who has done extensive research on this
generation of students.

Then you'll have to choose among eighteen concurrent sessions presented
in three tracks--which won't be easy. Topics range from managing people
to transforming your organization to complying with regulatory
requirements. I won't list them all here, but the full program is on the
web site. You'll also have ample opportunties to network with your
colleagues and corporate partners at breaks and receptions, and can
choose to join a group at lunch to discuss a topic that interests you.

At the close of the conference, on Tuesday afternoon, you have the
option of registering for a seminar to take an in-depth look at call
centers and customer relationship management. Attendance is limited in
order to allow alot of interaction and participation including small
group discussions. You need to register separately for this seminar at
http://www.nacubo.org/x8559.xml.

Please let me know if you have questions about the program. (For
questions about registration, you'll get better answers by calling
800.462.4916 or emailing pdreg@nacubo.org.) Anne
