We charge 1.75% on the balance due at the end of each month. That said -
since we are on an old system (SIS+) there are a couple months that we
are unable to charge the interest since we are in the middle of changing
terms (Dec) or end of the fiscal year (June). We do not cancel
registrations - we are willing to carry the debt for the current
semester. That said - if the student registers and does not pay we
automatically defer them and charge an $80 deferment fee (plus interest
each month).

To move forward: from fall to spring the account balance must be less
than $2000. To move from spring to summer or fall the account balance
must be paid in full.

We only stop charging interest when we turn the account over to a
collection agency.
