RE: Retuned Check charges

Interestingly, this particular issue forced us to change banks. Our
original bank was charging us $28.00 for every returned check, but by
state law we could only charge the students $25.00. It made no sense to
continue losing $3.00 on every check that bounced, so we changed banks.
We charge the max allowed by law.

Hi

We have not changed the amount that we charge students for a returned
check (insufficient funds, closed account) since before 1977. The
amount we charge is only $10.00. We are trying to get that amount
raised, but we need some idea what to charge.

Could schools let me know how much they charge for returned checks?
