RE: stipend question

We do not process stipends as credits on the student's account. Any stipend
paid goes through our AP department and is reported on a 1099MI if the
dollar amount accumulates to a reportable amount.

When a student receives any type of stipend from a department on campus that
goes on the tuition account as a credit towards tuition, and that stipend
does not go through financial aid, do all schools report the amount on a
1099 for that student? Thanks for any and all responses.
