    bruce,

we have a "one-card" system here at southern illinois university edwardsville.
our vendor is diebold and we use their cs-gold system. other vendors we looked
at were c-bord and blackboard. the concept is great and for the most part, it
works. we use the card for meal plans and payment for vending machines and
other foodstuffs on campus as well as access to various buildings, labs, etc.
diebold partnered with micros to provide cash registers and since that brings
in another vendor, be aware that that arrangement causes the typical
fingerpointing if something doesn't go right.
