    1) I am wondering about reporting changes. If we report amounts billed
for 2003 and something changes in 2004, I understand we have to report
the change in 2004. If, for a strange reason, another change from 2003
occurs in 2005, do we have to report that in 2005? This part really is
cumbersome if you have to continue to check all of the years that you
    have previously reported.

    2) Is an institution required to report terms that occur in the 3 months
of the next year? For example, we have a winter session for the month
of January and payments are due in December. Most people pay in
December but there are probably at least 1,000 or so who pay in
January. Spring semester starts in February, the bills are mailed in
mid-December but are not due until around January 7th. Since spring is
still in such flux until February, we were thinking we would not report
    spring.

    3) If a student pays in December for spring, they can deduct it in that
prior year. If they do not deduct a spring 2004 payment that they made
in December 2003, can they deduct it in 2004?

Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide.
