    We write off accounts that haven't paid anything in two years. The
    account remains flagged and we absolutely attempt to collect until the
    statute of limitations runs out. We only forgive a debt if we write off
    due to medical or job related emergencies. I will usually wipe out an
    account that is below $100 after one initial collection attempt since it
    costs more to keep track of such an account.
