    Listserv Collegues,

I am sure that most of us have adopted some more liberal withdrawal
policies for those students (and dependents) who must withdraw due to
being called from reserves to active duty, activation of National Guard,
transfer of duty station, etc., but have any of you made any concession
for students who feel compelled to enlist, then receive orders and have
to withdraw? My inclination is to treat them as voluntary withdrawals.
Their motivation is not in question, but the fact remains that their
action was voluntary, while the other military situations we address are
    beyond control of the student.
