I've gotten back a few responses. There doesn't seem to be a TSI option
out there for fewer letters. The standard response that we get a
majority of our responses after the 4th or 5th letter is kind of bologna
in that that is only a measure of when we REPORT a receipt to them. One
response noted that the five letters were going out over 90 days. I was
only aware of the 50 day option, which seems recommended. One company,
            Mike Coons <mcoons@creditorsinterchange.com>
will do three free letters in 30 days and then ask for the accounts for
collections. Other agencies may have similar offers.

The option that sounds appealing to me is to use the agencies for some
sort of pre-collections letter(s) for free. Free is nice, and I'm
actually surprised to see it, except that it does get the account in the
door for them. I'd even be willing to pay a small price for the
agency's time and skip tracing, which TSI will not do, and which wastes
the $10 unless I go back and do my own skip tracing.
