Madison Area Technical College does not charge an extra fee to those
students/parents/businesses for the use of credit cards (inclusive of
purchasing cards.) We accept VISA, Master Card and Discover. The
advantages in the use of credit cards by far outweighs the expense to
the College in terms of expeditious payments, less charge backs versus
non-sufficient funds checks, and more flexibility allowing for easier
negotiation when working out payment alternatives for students and
parents. We are a large school and it would be overall detrimental to
even think about assessing a "additional" fee (not to mention the
legality of it.) At a time where there are additional fees for many
other "school related activities," a significant good will issue would
arise. Credit card fees to the College are considered "the cost of
doing business" like any other banking service fees.

Hello Everyone!
Are there any Universities, Colleges or Collection Agencies that charge
an
additional fee to cover the fee's charged for processing credit cards?
Just curious!
