We've used Transworld for the last two years or so to send 5 letters
prior to an account going to collections. I resisted for a while, but
ultimately couldn't argue with the numbers that show that it doesn't
take many payments, without losing the 25% collection fee, to pay us
back for the $9.50 or so per account that we pay.
However, it adds two months to the interval prior to an account getting
to collections, which doesn't thrill me, and it means shelling out cash
to the service, which somehow feels worse than collecting something net
of collection fees. What I think I want is to pay less and only get
three letters, so I save some money and I move accounts to collections
faster. If someone is going to respond, I feel like they're going to do
it before getting to letter 4 and 5.
Has anybody gotten TSI to go with three letters for less (my rep told me
'no')? And what other service is there out there that does three
letters, or whatever for maybe $6 per account placed. I would like Web
based processing, too, if possible.
Thanks,
Stuart Warner
