Web Payment Solutions at Ohio University
On one end of the spectrum, many universities are eliminating the use of
credit cards as a payment option to avoid paying the costly credit card
fees. On the other end, other universities have elected to outsource
their payment processing so that the student can absorb the credit card
fee. This session will address the initial decision of Ohio University,
to take one path, and the lessons learned that led them 180 degrees in
the other direction. In addition, various departments on campus had
expressed an interest in finding web payment solutions, complicating but
