    The email below references the ideal target for receivable/revenue ratio to
    be 1%. Does anyone know the source of that statistic? I'd like to use that
    in support of our reserve numbers but need to disclose the source.

    Hello,

           I want to share some quick unofficial calculations I did, based upon
    information I received from some of you. I had information from 12
    schools, and the results ranged from .40% to 12.13%.

    0.40%
    0.51%
    0.55%
    0.63%
    0.70%
    1.02%
    1.25%
    1.50%
    1.80%
    3.00%
    4.33%
    12.13%

             If we throw out the lowest and the highest, we get a mean of
    1.53%, with the median slightly over 1%. One of the respondents indicated
    that, based on statistics he had gathered, less than 1% is a desirable
    target.
