Final regulations on the 1098-T reporting requirements for the education tax credis were published in today's Federal Register. A link is provided on the NACUBO Web site at www.nacubo.org/public_policy or you can find it directly on the GPO Access site.
We've only glanced over them, but it looks as if IRS has removed all reporting requirements for tuition payments for noncredit courses. NACUBO will provide a more detailed analysis soon, but I wanted to get the word out now since I know many people have been waiting for the final rules.
