The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is currently recruiting a
Director of Student Accounts. The following is a brief job description and
requirements.
This position provides accounting and managerial expertise for the Cashiers
and Student Accounts Offices within Business Affairs/Financial Services and
serves as liaison between these areas and the broader campus community. The
Cashier and Student Account Offices have fourteen employees. The University
has a student enrollment of approximately 18,500 and growing. The Director
of Student Accounts reports to the University Controller.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or business
administration with no less than 15 hours in accounting courses and two
years of supervisory/managerial accounting experience. An equivalent
combination of education and experience will be considered. An advanced
degree or certification - such as an MBA or a CPA would be preferred.
Individual must have proven effective communication and interpersonal
skills, be proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook. Knowledge of mainframe
accounts receivable system a plus.
