    sandra,

we have 1-stop shopping but do not rely upon a single individual. we have a
service center that handles things such as enrollment questions, class
adds/changes/drops, transcript requests, withdrawals, producing card id's, etc.
we have also co-located in the same office a cashiering station. now students,
parents, etc. can go to the service center and request a transcript for example
and then just go over to our cashier in the same office and pay for the
transcript. the service center usually has 2-3 folks at its counter and we have
a single cashier at a time in our "satellite". the results so far are great -
we have received nothing but positive comments. of course, our regular office
is open as well so students have a choice of coming over to the bursar's office
or going to the satellite cashier to transact business.
