I have put the following question out on the National Association of Campus
Card Users listserv, with no quick response. I think most card offices
don't deal much with the Bursar aspect so may not ever remember if they use
Banner. In any case I'm going to try this group. We are in the midst of
implementing both Banner and a banking partnership. The banking partnership
requires an ATM number and of course Banner looks for an ID #.
This question is for schools who have SCT Banner as their student
information system and have a banking partnership.
What do you have encoded on track 2 of your mag stripe?
Do you use track 1 and/or 3 of the mag stripe for anything?
What are the restrictions as far as in-put from the mag stripe to Banner?
What type of swipe readers do you use?
