    I have an excess financial aid check for a student that is made up of a Sub. Stafford loan and a Pell Grant. The aid is for Fall term 2001. The student has a balance for Spring term 2002. I have found in the Regulations where, with the student's authorization, the excess aid can be applied to prior terms but nothing about a future term. Is this in the Regs and I am missing it? I would like to know how this is handled by other institutions. Thanks for your help.
