    Good morning,

I have been asked to gather info on how institutions handle student
scholarships received from outside agencies, such as high schools, Knights
of Columbus, etc. These are usually for amounts between $25 - $1000. Please
    reply to the following questions:

What office maintains outside scholarships info on your school's electronic
database, Bursar of Financial Aid? Bursar

Are these amounts reflected on student bills? yes, as payments, once received

How is scholarship info shared between the Bursar and Financial Aid offices?
Via the account cards, award letters

Are there any federal regulations guiding how outside scholarships are
    handled?

Are outside scholarships listed on Financial Aid Award Letters? Yes, so as to
    budget loans properly

I thank you in advance for your responses. I would be happy to summarize the
info I receive and forward to the list serve.

    Bursar/Manager of Student Accounts
