    Angela,
    We just implement an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System for the Student Accounts Receivable office on Friday which will give the following info:
    * billing and payment policies
    * bill and due dates for the academic year
    * where and how to make payments
    * student account balance
    * minimum payment due and due date
    * most recent credit balance refund check processed
    * information on direct deposit of credit balance checks
    * holds/service indicators on the student account
    * direct deposit forms and third party release forms can be ordered
    * students can also get automatically transferred to a Third Party Billing
    representative, to a Collection Representative to talk about their past due
    account, to a representative to talk about a return check item, to a
    Financial Aid Client Services representative, to Student Health Benefits
    Office/Boynton, to the Graduate Assistance Employment Services Office, as
    well as a Student Accounts Receivable representative.
    The phone number is 612-624-5200, but you need a student ID to access it because it give specific account information.
    If there is anything else you need, let me know.

    We are in the process of developing a telephone system to assist our
    staff with the incoming phone calls in Account Services, Student Loan
    Collections, and the Cashiers Office. If you have an automated
    telephone answering system which guides students and parents to the
    correct office within or outside the Bursar Area and answers frequently
    asked questions, please e-mail me back with the phone number I can use
    to access it. Also, if there is anything else you think I should know
    about these systems, I'd appreciate your input. Thank you.
