At Jacksonville University (private liberal arts with 1,500 traditional
undergraduate) we have just changed our overload from 17 to 19 hours. A
student can register for 12-18 hours (previously 12-16) at a block rate and
a per hour rate after that that is less than the per hour rate up to 11
    hours.

We refund the overload fee as long as the student does not drop below the 18
    hours for the block rate.

    Subject: overload fees/refund?

For those of you with overload fees - could you please answer a few
    questions?

    1. At what credit level do you start charging an overload fee?
    2. How much is your overload fee? Is it a flat fee or a per credit
    fee?
    3. What is your policy for refunding the overload fee? How do you
    refund if
students are adding and dropping throughout the semester.

    Thank You for your input
