    I would be interested in knowing how the two schools that answered below
    handle pending aid situations? Here at L-R, we have a lot of trouble
    getting an exact balance due one month prior to classes beginning. There
    are always cases of students who have not been awarded yet, or parents who
    have applied for loans, but have not been approved yet.
    What do you do about the students who walk in on the first day of class and
    register and apply for aid at once? Do you require that they pay in full or
    you drop them or are they given some type of grace period for F/A to be
    awarded?
    I would like to go to a flat late payment fee or drop from classes, but the
    way our system is set up, I don't see how that's possible.

    Any input??

    Barnard College charges a $75 late payment fee. Payment is due
