    Angela,

The University of Wisconsin - River Falls is in the middle of implementing PeopleSoft Student Admin. Presently we are using our own home grown Perkins Student Loan System on a Main frame. We are looking at replacing it with something that would interface with both PeopleSoft Student Admin. System and PeopleSoft Shared Financials System. We went live with Shared Financials July 1, 2001. Yesterday Jim McDonald from ECSI ( Educational Computer Systems Inc) was on campus to make a presentation of their system. It looked very good. It also has an interface to both PeopleSoft Systems. I have also talked to Dave Martin, Student Loan Service Center, North Dakota. He is very happy with ECSI. I had been leaning toward Green Tree. But worry about the number of times it has been sold. If you have any questions you can give Jim McDonald a call at 888-549-3274 or e-mail: jmcdonald@ecsi.net.

I have heard that People Soft does not offer software to handle in-house
billing, servicing and collecting of Perkins and Nursing loans. If
there are any schools on the list serve who have purchased or are
already using People Soft Student System, and you are handling Perkins
and Nursing billing and collection in-house, would you please share your
school's plans with me? Will you continue to use your current loan
billing system, purchase a new, "non-peoplesoft" system, or assign the
    process to a servicer?
