Northampton Comm College also cancels for nonpayment--my
answers are below. We have about 6,000 credit and community
    education fte's, approx 22,000 students.

We begin cancelling approx 2-3 days after tuition due date and
repeat the process about 2 times during the 1st half of the
semester to catch mid-semester courses, etc.
    > Approximately how many students do you cancel per semester?
Approx 400-500--about 2/3 usually get reinstated after they come
in & pay. Cancellation opens up seats for those on a waiting list
so students don't always get back in the classes they want.
Cancellation also purges those students who registered to hold
seats and then decided to go elsewhere but don't bother to
    withdraw.

We print the information on our statements

    Records office sends a mailer
