We have students who do not have local bank accounts and receive checks from
their parents or grandparents and cash them with our Cashier's Office. We
are in the process of revising our check cashing policies and want to see
how other schools are handling the cashing of third party checks.
1) Does your school cash third party checks?
2) If so do you go after the maker or last endorser if the check is
returned?
3) Also what is the limit that you will allow a student or employee to cash
a check?
