Marshall University currently bills as requested by the Saudi Embassy, but
would much rather put all students on one invoice.

Subject: Saudi Arabia Education/Cultural Mission
There was recent discussion via this listserv about the "special"
treatment demanded by some third party sponsors. This is a
follow-up to those discussions.
The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Higher Education/Cultural Mission to
the USA is one of our third party sponsors here at K-State. They
demand that we send them INDIVIDUAL invoices for each student
for each semester. Our billing program is not set up to bill
individually....we produce a statement by term listing all students
sponsored for that term. When contacted, the Saudi Arabia
Cultural Mission in D.C. said they can not and will not accept an
invoice for multiple students. So we have to manually produce
individual invoices and also place the S.A. Educ Mission ID on
each invoice (an addition to the the Student ID).
When I spoke with Amal Ibrahim at the S.A. E. M. and asked why
they were so demanding and why they could not adjust their
procedures to accept multiple student invoices, she said that K-
State was the ONLY school that complains......no other schools
have a problem with producing individual invoices.
I would like to know if Amal is correct. If any of you have concerns
about how the Saudi Arabia Educational/Cultural Mission in
Washington DC demands individual invoices and that their Mission
ID be included on invoices, please let me know. If K-State is the
only one that has a problem, I will quit whining (well, I will at least
cut down on it). If we are not the only ones with concerns about
the demands they place, I will be sure that Amal Ibrahim and her
supervisor know about it.
Thanks for your time!
