Registrar

The School of Visual Arts, one of the largest independent colleges of
art in the country, invites applications for the position of registrar.
Reporting to the executive director of Student Services, the registrar
provides leadership and direction to staff. Primary responsibilities
include: the integrity and security of student academic records; all
administrative and operational activities associated with in-person
registration; verification of enrollment, registration book preparation,
course scheduling and room assignments for the Divisions of
Undergraduate, Graduate and Continuing Education; budgetary and
personnel management; the collection and analysis of enrollment data for
the purpose of evaluation and planning; and the maintenance of the
departmental Web site.

Requirements: bachelor's degree master's preferred; a minimum of three
to five years experience as a registrar; knowledge of F.E.R.P.A. and
other applicable federal and state laws; proficiency in MS Office;
experience with college wide relational database systems
(Datatel/Colleague R16 preferred); the ability to collect data and
produce requisitioned enrollment reports; excellent writing and
interpersonal communication skills; and the ability to provide
student-focused services to a diverse population. Successful candidates
will have demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvements in
service and efficiency.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Desired start
