FYI, I am attaching information regarding E-Signatures that I just
received from Pam Moran at ED. For those of you interested in implementing
E-Signatures at your school, there is a Town Hall call-in meeting tomorrow,
May 3 at 1 p.m. (Eastern). More information on this meeting is available
at:

>Pat: I am attaching the standards document that was just approved by the
>Secretary yesterday for electronic signatures. Also, we have offered the
>FFEL industry our auditorium on 5/3 for a Town Hall Meeting they want to
>conduct on E-signatures, mostly from the FFEL perspective. There will,
>however, be some school representation through NASFAA at the
>meeting. There is information posted at their web-site
>(<http://www.nchelp.org>www.nchelp.org) that you may find of interest. I
>will be contacting the Perkins community shortly to discuss holding a
>similar meeting. However, it may be that schools may want to discuss
>e-signatures beyond the Perkins program and that we will a schedule a
>meeting with schools with a much broader e-signature-related agenda. I am
>not sure whether the attached documents have been posted on IFAP yet, so
>please feel free to share them with colleagues. I will keep you posted on
>any Perkins or School-based meeting on s-signatures.
