You may recall that there was some discussion last year about the potential
implementation of a fee for every international student intending to attend
school in the US. There were many pieces to the proposal, including
collection of the fee by the individual universities. It was an issue of
great concern!
Well I thought you all might be interested in the latest news. While fee
collection by the university has been eliminated, the latest proposal is not
happy either. Attached is a copy of the letter sent by the American Council
on Education --- you will note the various exceptions taken with the
implementation.
