We allow students to do bookstore charges on their account ONLY if there
is a credit after the tuition charges and all of the unapplied aid is
actual and approved. (We disallow any estimated aid and Work Grants.)
They must come to our Finance Office to get a Bookstore Voucher on which
we put a dollar limit for the charge. (If the student only has an
approved credit on their account of $100 and the books cost $250 they
must pay for the $150 difference ay the time of purchase.)
The following day the bookstore brings us the charges to apply to the
account.
Our bookstore also offers a Knight Account. This is an account that the
parents can set up at the bookstore (Paid in advance any, cash or charge
card). The students can charge their purchases against the account.
Unfortunately, this includes any item in the store such as cigarettes.
This program has had great success.
