I know this question has been asked before but since I wasn't interested in
the answers at that point in time, I didn't save any of them. The
University of Kansas is considering renaming the General Accounting Office
to something more appropriate. Bursar's Office has been considered but no
one seems to know what or who a Bursar is or does.
The General Accounting Office does the billing and receiving of payments for
students, issues refund checks, handle departmental deposits, third party
billing, balancing of bank statements and works with students that have
problems paying their bill.
If you have a similar office on your campus, what is the name of the office?
