The Department of Education issued an advance notice of proposed rulemaking
last Friday soliciting comments on setting performance standards for the
accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of electronic records. The notice
does not include any draft regulations or proposals from the department, but
seeks general input from affected parties. The comment period is very short,
with comments due 3/19.
