It's that time again (return of Title IV Funds). I've tried using the
NYSFAA online program and need some help, either from anyone who has used
this program or anyone who understands how to do these calculations.
The calculations ask for institutional costs of tuition, fees, room, board,
books, etc. Do I enter actual charges (from the student's account)? What
about living expense?
I've done one calculation and, using actual charges, the student who w/d
today is only entitled to about $600 of their Pell grant and none of their
loan. The only other aid (besides institutional) is TAP. The student will
owe about $2300 since we are past the college's refund period. Am I doing
this right?
