We are in the process of revamping our controllable scholarship dollars
in hopes of finding a way to ensure that the right hand knows what the
left hand is doing. We are refunding a lot of monies that we feel could
be spread out more evenly between students. Please take the time to
answer the questions below:
1) Do you have a cap on controllable scholarships - i.e. room & board
plus tuition? Do you consider a book cost in this cap?
2) Are the scholarships funneled through a "clearinghouse" database?
3) Banner userss - Does Banner have the capability to maintain such a
database and follow parameters such as a cap?
I hope I've communicated effectively what we're looking for - but we
would like to know how others process their in-house scholarships.
