At the University of Delaware, the Office of Billing and Collection
houses the cashiering function, as well as billing and collection
functions. There is a Director of Billing and Collection, and each of
the three offices have a manager. Account Services is responsible for
all student, faculty/staff and business and individual customer billing
functions, monthly and semester billing processes, customer service and
all third-party billing, to name a few. The Cashier's Office processes
all incoming payments to the University. Collection Services is
responsible for collection processes for student tuition accounts,
individual and business accounts, and exit interview processes, billing
and default rate management for our Federal Perkins loan programs and
our Nursing loan programs.
