We currently offer a 12-month, no interest payment plan to our students.
It works okay, but is difficult to monitor. We only charge interest in
months where the payment has not been made.

I am seriously considering going to a plan whereby a student may take 12
months (or maybe 9 months) to pay their bill, but will be charged interest
during the entire time. I'm hoping this will "encourage" students to pay
sooner.

I'm looking for input from my esteemed colleagues -- pros and cons,
anything I should think about or consider.

Your input is appreciated.
