Dear Cynthia:

Montserrat's school size is approximately 400 day students. 139 students
currently use TMS services. I usually do not need to reconcile anything.
TMS sends me a disk to update our system. We receive a report with the
same information plus some additional data that is very helpful. Once in a
while I have to change a student id number on the disk. We use a program,
MCA400 data access, to retrieve the file from my TMS folder and then I run
a program in SCAN that takes the information in MCA400 to put it in a batch
for review. If the batch dollar amount matches the report amount I go ahead
and post it. If there is an error in the batch (i.e. wrong student id
number) I am alerted to it via a TMS error report that gets generated and it
is stated in the batch. As I stated before this does not happen very often.
It takes a short time for me to post the payments from TMS to student
accounts. The disk is sent around the 25th of each month. Of course
through their faxback system, web site or administrative line you can access
student activity with TMS everyday. Again, call me if you need further
