I have yet another question re. 1098Ts. This year we are not reporting any
data on our 1098-Ts, but are providing a yearly statement with charges and
payments (including financial aid) for those students who request it. My
understanding is that next year we will have to provide a 1098-T to whoever
pays the tuition, my question is, what is going to happen when the student's
tuition gets paid with private scholarships, do we also need to track Tax
Ids. for private donors?, also two of our students reported to our Financial
Aid Office that they received 1098-Ts from their private scholarship donors.
What is your interpretation regarding private scholarships and 1098-T
