Credit Card Usage and Automated Payments

ANSWERS TO AUTOMATED PAYMENT QUESTIONS:

1) How long have you offered each of these options?
           a) Touch-tone? SINCE MARCH OF 1992
           b) Web? SINCE DECEMBER OF 1999

2) Have more students paid by credit card because of these options?
IT ACTUALLY HAS CHANGED HOW WE PROCESS CR. CRD. PAYMENTS. WE NO LONGER
ACCEPT THEM MANUALLY OVER THE PHONE OR AS WRITE IN REQUESTS. THIS HAS SAVED
US A HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME AND RESOURCES. I THINK STUDENTS WOULD PAY BY CREDIT
CARD REGARDLESS OF THE METHOD TO PROCESS THEM.
If so, what percent increase have you noticed?
WE SEE ABOUT A 20% GROWTH IN CARDS EVERY YEAR.

3) Do you use Address Verification Software? If so, what percent
provide the accurate data? NOT THAT I KNOW OF.

4) What software do you use to receive these payments, such as Banner
or CASHNet or a homegrown system:
        Touch-tone ___CASHNet
        Web ______CASHNet

5) Do you charge any service fees for using technology? If so, how
much? NO - THE STATE OF COLORADO DOES NOT ALLOW US
TO ASSESS ANY KIND OF USER FEE FOR USING CR. CARDS.

6) Comments: CARDS ARE A GREAT CONVENIENCE AND NECESSARY, AT
THIS POINT, TO USE AUTOMATED PAYMENT SYSTEMS. HOPEFULLY IN THE
FUTURE A CHEAPER METHOD OF PAYMENT FOR THE MERCHANT WILL
COME ALONG.
