Linda and others,

At Ohio State U., we require a signed release from the student to
release any specific info to the parent. Exceptions are info about
PLUS funds and Dependent Fee Authorizations (faculty/staff
dependents receive 50% off tuition). If the parent has a statement in
front of them, we will discuss the info with them without a release
statement because of the implied consent of their possession of the
statement.
