P.L.A.T.O. education loans currently has two position openings for
regional sales representatives. The Northeast representative will manage
accounts in New York and Connecticut. The Mid-Atlantic representative will
manage accounts in DC, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.
EDUCATION FINANCE REPRESENTATIVE
JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
This individual will bring the experience and maturity required to
succeed in marketing tuition based products to colleges, universities and
certified training schools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
1. Actively promote all P.L.A.T.O. loan products to colleges,
universities, and certified training schools.
2. Actively target and implement a marketing and sales plan to
increase loan volume at selected schools.
3. Prepare and submit administrative reports detailing travel
authorizations, travel expense reimbursements, purchase orders, material
requisitions, etc., in an accurate and timely manner.
4. Assist in the creation of an annual budget for sales
operations in the responsible region. Monitor actual expenditures as they
relate to the budget, reporting any significant variances to the National
Manager, Education Finance.
5. Communicate to the National Manager, Education Finance, all
noteworthy events that may impact the division or organization as a whole,
such as issues that preclude the attainment of regional goals.
6. Achieve a high degree of success in placing communication
materials at all schools and colleges.
7. Attend and represent P.L.A.T.O. at local, state, regional,
and national conferences and events.
8. Maintain a heavy travel schedule while ensuring contact with
headquarters staff.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree is required. A high degree of knowledge of the
student financing market is required. Exposure to sales training courses to
keep current on sales practices and techniques is desired. Sales experience
is preferred.
Candidate must have a very high degree of initiative,
self-motivation, maturity, and polished communication and presentation
skills, both written and oral. Must possess proficiency with various office
software productivity packages, such as word processing, electronic mail,
and basic database utilities. Must possess strong organizational and time
management skills. Must be able to manage a heavy travel schedule (minimum
of 70%) while ensuring administrative matters are handled on a timely basis.
