bursar-l: Under age 18 Students

Would like to find out how other schools are handling financials for students who are under the age of 18 which are enrolling into regular college courses. Do you allow them to be on payment plans or do you require them to pay up front in full? We have ran into students who sign up for the payment plan and then say they do not have to finish paying because they were under the age of 18 and are not legally responsible.

Any information would be helpful.
