At Metropolitan Community Colleges in Kansas City MO we use 2 agencies - One Agency charges 1st placement is 25% 2nd placement 30% Legal 50% --- 2nd agency charges 1st placement is 20% 2nd placement 25%. I have a higher rate of return from the 1st agency that charges a higher collection fee.

George Washington University uses 4 collection agencies for tuition debt.
All of our agencies charge 25% make whole regardless of the type of
placement or age of the debt. One rate for all placements makes our life
easier when calculating their balances due.
